After the Defender for iPad, OtterBox launches the Defender Series for the newest iPhone 4 (model APL2-I4XXX-20-C4OTR). Like the iPad version, the Defender case protects your iPhone 4 with three layers – First, a polycarbonate shell made of hi-impact, shatter-resistant material is installed. Built into the shell is a clear Multi-Touch display screen cover as well as a clear cover for the Apple logo cutout on the backside. Finally, a silicone skin wraps around and locks into the shell resulting in a unified, nearly indestructible solution durable silicone skin layer.
The Defender series offers access to sync/charge port via silicone plugs and access to all side buttons. Also, this black case for the Apple iPhone 4 has been officially NAC tested to address the loss in signal strength. It comes with a ratcheting belt chip holster. The iPhone 4 Defender case is priced at $49.95 and is available at Amazon.
Otterbox also releases the Commuter Series case and the Impact Series case for iPhone 4. The former comes with two layers of device security, a silicone mid-layer and a polycarbonate shell combine to provide protection from bump and shock and the self-adhering screen protector defends from scratching. The Impact is a single layer silicone skin with inner coring to dissipate shock away from the iPhone 4. The Commuter and the Impact are priced at $34.95 and $19.95 respectively.
