iRiver is launching in China its next generation e-book reader, the Story Touch Edition. The new model gives up the QWERTY keyboard we found on the original Story and gets a touchscreen, a stylus pen for touch operation and offers virtual keyboard and handwriting capability.
The Story Touch has a 6-inch e-ink display with 600×800 resolution, 2GB internal storage, SD/SDHC card slot, built-in 0.5Wx2 speakers, and built-in 1800mAh battery. It supports ePub, PDF, FB2, DJV, TXT, DOC/DOCX, PPT/PPTX, XLS/XLSX and HWP documents files. iRiver’s new e-book reader also includes a audio player supporting MP3, OGG, WMA files, and a comics viewer that reader CBZ, JPG, BMP, PNG and GIF files. The device also does voice recording.
