CalDigit AV Drive USB 3.0 Hard Drive for Mac

CalDigit introduces the AV Drive, a USB 3.0 hard drive for Mac offering up to 145MB/s transfer speed. Optimized for video and audio, the AV Drive offers also FireWire 800 interface, making it a dual-interface hard drive. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0.

The drive is housed in a aluminum chassis and its internal components feature a cable-less design so there is no need to worry about loose parts and thus decreasing the likelihood of problems. The AV Drive comes in 1TB and 2TB and the 1TB model costs $199.

CalDigit also launches the SuperSpeed PCI Express Card for users to add USB 3.0 support to their Mac. The card is priced at $59.
