Nokia introduces two new Cseries mobile phones running Symbian^3, the C6-01 and the C7-00. Both smartphones are equipped with a 8 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capability. According to Nokia, “this latest version of Symbian is packing 250 new features and improvements whilst remaining familiar to the millions of existing Symbian users worldwide. With multiple homescreen support, multitasking and gesture-based interactions, this latest version of Symbian^3 is a big leap forward.”
The more compact Nokia C6-01 is a compact device with a 3.2-inch 640×360 AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with Nokia ClearBlack technology for improved outdoor visibility. The C7-00 is a little bigger getting a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen. It is just 10.5mm thick and comes with a more rounded design. Both C7-00 and C6-01 supports microSD memory card and the C7-00 gets 8GB internal memory. They support Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and WiFi and offers FM radio, 3.5mm jack and micro USB connector.
The C6-01 and C7-00 both support WCDMA/HSPA and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. Nokia C7-00 will be released later this year in black, metal and brown for Euro 335 while the C6-01 in silver in black for Euro 260.
