HTC finally introduces the Desire HD Android phone (codenamed HTC Ace), bringing the large 4.3-inch screen to people outside the US, who can’t get the Sprint HTC EVO 4G. The new phone comes without support for WiMAX, but only support for HSPA/WCDMA 900/2100 MHz and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. The Desire HD has no QWERTY keyboard, unlike its brother Desire Z.

In addition to the 4.3-inch 800×480 capacitive touchscreen, the Desire HD gets a 8 Megapixel autofocus camera with 720p HD video recording, face detection, geotagging; Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS/AGPS, 1.5GB onboard storage and a microSD/SDHC card slot. The phone is powered by a 1Ghz processor, 768MB of RAM and runs Android2.2 Froyo with HTC Sense.

HTC is going to release the Desire HD Android smartphone in October 2010.
