HTC finally introduces the Desire HD Android phone (codenamed HTC Ace), bringing the large 4.3-inch screen to people outside the US, who can’t get the Sprint HTC EVO 4G. The new phone comes without support for WiMAX, but only support for HSPA/WCDMA 900/2100 MHz and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. The Desire HD has no QWERTY keyboard, unlike its brother Desire Z.

HTC finally announced the Desire Z QWERTY keyboard, which is basically HTC’s own version of T-Mobile G2. Like the G2, the Desire Z runs Android 2.2 Froyo OS but it adds HTC Sense UI and the new HTCSense.com services. The phone gets a slideout QWERTY keyboard.

Finally Nokia officially unveils the E7-00 Symbian^3 smartphone. Designed for business, the E7-00 comes with sliding four-row QWERTY keyboard, just like other Eseries phones. It also offer support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, built-in Nokia Mobile VPN for connecting company intranet quickly and securely, business grade device lock and wipe functionality, remote device management, and other business-oriented features.

Nokia introduces two new Cseries mobile phones running Symbian^3, the C6-01 and the C7-00. Both smartphones are equipped with a 8 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capability. According to Nokia, “this latest version of Symbian is packing 250 new features and improvements whilst remaining familiar to the millions of existing Symbian users worldwide. Alongside the G12, Canon introduces the PowerShot SX3 IS digital camera, which is the world’s first point-and-shoot camera to feature a 35X-Wide Angle Optical Zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization. The lens has a 24mm ultra-wide angle.

Canon launches the new PowerShot G12, the latest addition to the company’s G-series replacing the G11. The new G12 is equipped with DIGIC 4 image processor and the HS (High Sensitivity) SYSTEM helping to produce outstanding quality in the toughest low-light conditions. It also gets 720p HD video recording capabilities.

Christie announced two new digital projectors, the DHD670-E and DWU670-E, both come from the new E-series, which “brings stellar performance and value to the fixed installation market.”

MetroPCS is going to launch the America’s first LTE 4G network in Las Vega and Dallas in September 2010, according to Dow Jones Newswires. Alongside the network, the carrier will bring the Samsung Craft, a LTE-CDMA dual mobile mobile phone.
