T-Mobile announced its myTouch Android smartphone, which previously leaked as myTouch 3G HD, taking T-Mobile’s HSPA+ mobile broadband network to deliver 4G speed. Running Android 2.2 OS, the myTouch features a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen display, 5 Megapixel main camera with 720p HD video recording, a front camera for video chat, and a preinstalled 8GB microSD memory card.
The myTouch is powered by second-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz MSM8255 processor. It supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. The phone includes three exclusive myTouch features: Genius Button, powered by Dragon Dictation from Nuance, which lets customers call, text, e-mail or access the internet with a simple voice command; Faves Gallery, which offers shortcuts to one’s most-contacted family and friends; and myModes, which creates customized home screens for work and home.
The myTouch also features the Swype keyboard for easy text input. It will be available from T-Mobile USA in four colors, white, black, plum or red.
