Acer Aspire One AOD255 Hits US

Acer releases its Aspire One AOD255 dual-core netbook in the US market. Powered by Intel’s dual core Atom N550 processor, the AOD225 packs integrated Intel graphics, 1GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250GB hard drive. It comes with a 10.1-inch LED-backlit LCD display, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, Multi-Gesture Touchpad, and support for WiFi connectivity.
The Aspire One AOD255 is only 1-inch thin and weighs just over 2-1/2 pounds. It gets a 6-cell battery for up to 8 hours of battery life. It comes in red, black, brown and aquamarine. Acer will also release the single core version of AOD255 that gets Atom N450 CPU.
The official price of the AOD255 is $329.99 for dual core version and $269.99 for single core model. These US models run Windows 7 Starter, instead of Android/Windows XP dual boot. You can order now at Amazon.com.
