As T-Mobile gets the Optimus T, Sprint is also going to release a LG Android phone called Optimus S. The phone includes the Sprint ID Android personalization function, just like Samsung’s Transform.
The Optimus S features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, microSD card slot and Mobile Hotspot function, thanks to Android 2.2 Froyo. It will be available in charcoal gray on 31 October for $49.99 with a new two-year service agreement or eligible upgrade and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
