Xi3 Modular Computer

A company called Xi3 Corporation introduces the Xi3 Modular Computer, a cube-shaped computer measuring less than 4-inch per side. Not only it is small, the modular computer is also power-saving requiring an average of 20 Watts or less to operate. The utilizes Xi3 computer architecture which divides the classic motherboard into three separate boards – One board that houses the processors and RAM, and Two additional I/O boards to handle all connectivity and input/output requirements.
The Xi3 Modular Computer is powered by AMD’s Athlon 64 X2 processors, either 2000+ 1GHz or 3400e 1.8GHz or 4200+ 2.2GHz, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and integrated graphics engine with DirectX 10 support. It has two eSATA ports and six USB 2.0 ports, and offers DVI-D dual link and DisplayPort.
The aluminum casing of the Xi3 Modular Computer serves as a type of heatsink, while the flow-through design and the placement of the processors within the computer combine to help mitigate and dissipate heat blooms inside the enclosure itself. The price starts at $849.
