by Sze | Filed under Mobile Phone, Smartphone
Samsung introduces in China the all-new W899 Android clamshell smartphone featuring two Super AMOLED touchscreens. The W899 is probably the first clamshell phone to run Android OS. It works not only with China Telecom’s CDMA 1X and CDMA EVDO 3G network but also supports tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks, making it global-ready.

The Samsung W899 is powered by a 1GHz processor and runs Android 2.2 OS. The flip phone features dual 3.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreens, a 5 Megapixel camera with 1280x720p HD video recording and flash, GPS, WiFi and a microSD card slot.
The Samsung W899 is 17.55mm thick. Of course, it does come with a physical numeric keypad for making phone calls.
