Surc, created by Mashed Pixel, is a iPhone case that doubles as a universal learning remote control designed to provide users with anywhere, anytime control over InfraRed (IR)-enabled electronic devices and appliances.
The Surc case uses InfraRed communcation technology. Use with the free iPhone app, the Surc allows users to control most IR-connected devices and appliances. The sleek case works with iphone 3G/3GS and iPhone 4 and offers micro USB port for charging and syncing. The Surc can learn the code from virtually any of the users’ IR-remote controls and store them or download them from its extensive database, and the free app lets users personalize their remote control from the buttons to the layout, look and feel, and create their own mobile lifestyle experience.
