McIntosh MCD1100 SACD/CD Player with Sabre32 Reference Audio DAC

McIntosh is launching the new MCD1100 disc player that supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW, SACD, Hybrid SACD, MP3 and WMA stereo music discs. It is equipped with the ESS’s Sabre32 Reference Audio D/A Converter (ES9018), which can also be found in OPPO’s BDP-95 Universal 3D Blu-ray player. The player is built on a rigid aluminum die-cast mechanism base with aluminum die-cast tray and a 3D front panel.
The McIntosh MCD1100 features advanced digital laser servo motor to yield quieter and the most accurate positioning of the twin laser optical pickup, and allows for optimum reading of the disc. It is designed to drive power amplifiers directly, delivering performance comparable to the finest stereo preamplifier. The SACD/CD player also include USB Audio digital input that allows convenient access to music stored or streamed from external storage device and a computer.
The McIntosh MCD1100 is priced at $10,000.
