Speck CandyShell Wrap for iPad
by Sze | Filed under Peripherals and Accessories
Speck launches the new CandyShell Wrap case for iPad, which is built with the same two-layer hard-shell, soft-center design as the original CandyShell case for iPad. The case has a unique removable flip-close front cover that folds into a viewing and typing stand for iPad, and a hard exterior and soft, rubberized lining.

The CandyShell Wrap’s rubberized interior and button covers offer shock absorption and protection as well. It is available in DarkLord Black and costs $59.95.

Well written. But the case is over priced, and Protection is limited to cosmetic scuffs. But not drops. Not sure that the speck skin cover is any better, much less smarter. I ordered the speck cover, and to be quite candid; I am not impressed. It does not offer much in protection. I was skeptical about the cover to begin with. Nevertheless, if your looking to protect your investment with a simple cover, we run the risk of inflicting some damage from a simple accident. I had to reassess my needs after a near fatal drop with the speck cover. I ordered a few days ago a leather Mivizu iPad 2 case called the Sense, and I also ordered an Otterbox hardshell. Best, the Mivizu folio is affordable priced at $39.99 minus a $10.00 coupon code FABIPAD2. Anyways, for real protection look elsewhere.
