QNAP announced its new line of Turbo NAS servers, the 1-drive TS-112, dual-drive TS-212 and the quad-drive TS-412 intended for the fast-growing home and SOHO market segment. These servers are equipped with Marvell 1.2Ghz processor and 256MB DDR2 memory. They have SATA hard drive bays for up to 3.5-inch or 3.5-inch 2TB hard drives, meaning the TS-412 can offer up to 8TB of storage capacity.
These QNAP Turbo NAS devices all have Gigabit LAN port, USB ports and eSATA ports. The top-of-the-line TS-412 has two Gigabit LAN ports and supports JBOD, RAID 0/ 1/ 5/ 6/ 5 + hot spare, while the dual-bay TS-212 supports JBOD, RAID 0 / 1 setup. These all-in-one servers all feature built-in iSCSI Target Service, Download Station for BitTorrent, eMule, FTP, HTTP downloads, iTunes Server, Surveillance Station, Printer Server, Backup Server functions and offer built-in UPnP media server as well.
