Sierra Wireless AirCard 319U DC-HSPA+ USB modem

In addition to two 4G Mobile Hotspots, Sierra Wireless also brings two new 4G USB modems, the AirCard 319U and AirCard 320U supporting Dual-Carrier HSPA+ (DC-HSPA+) and LTE networks, respectively. Both of them use USB interface. The former has a swivel hinge design that allows the body of the modem to be tucked up against the side of the notebook and protects it from being damaged by accidental bumps, while the latter comes with an articulating and pivoting hinge that works with the widest possible variety of USB port placements.

Sierra Wireless announced to new 4G mobile hotspots, the AirCard 753S for Dual Carrier HSPA+ and the AirCard 754S for LTE network. At about the size of a deck of cards, both AirCard hotspots are lightweight and come with an LCD display to provide all the necessary information, including WiFi access information, battery life, network signal strength, and the number of devices connected. They also offer audible alerts and an intuitive web interface.

Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.0

Other than new flagship Galaxy S II smartphone and the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, Samsung also brings the Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and WiFi 5.0 Android-based portable media players to the MWC 2011, to compete with Apple’s iPod touch. The former looks just like the original Galaxy S and has 4-inch Super Clear LCD touchscreen while the latter is like an enlarged Galaxy S II with a 5-inch large touchscreen display with 800×480 resolution.

LG Optimus ME P350

LG is going to release two new entry-level Android smartphones, the Optimus ME P350 (aka Pecan) and the Optimus CHAT C550. Both models have a compact form factor and come with a 2.8-inch touchscreen and a 3 Megapixel camera.

LG officially announced its new 3D-capable Optimus Pad V900 tablet running Android 3.0 Honeycomb, which is known as the G-Slate in the US market. The 8.9-inch tablet is powered by 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet-optimized OS.

LG officially announced the Optimus 3D P920 Android smartphone powered by “tri-dual” configuration – dual-core, dual-channel and dual-memory. The 3D phone is boosted by TI OMAP4 dual core 1GHz processor, and 4Gb LP DDR2 memory. It comes with 8GB internal memory.

Along with the Xperia neo, Sony introduces the Xperia pro business-oriented Android smartphone with an optimized, ergonomically crafted slide-out keyboard for a fast messaging experience. It includes the subtle but fast Type & Send functionality eliminating the need to open a dedicated app for each type of message, and Smart Keyboard that triggers predictive messaging actions automatically when the user slides out the keyboard. Finally, Sony Ericsson officially announced its Xperia PLAY PlayStation phone at the MWC 2011. Running Android 2.0 Gingerbread OS with Timescape UI, the PLAY is the world’s first PlayStation-certified smartphone. It features a side-sliding gaming control with a digital D pad, two analogue touch pads, two shoulder buttons and the four PlayStation icons: circle, cross, square and triangle, making it look just like the PSP Go.
