Sony Ericsson expands its Xperia line with, along with the Xperia PLAY, two new Android devices – the Xperia neo and the Xperia pro, joining the flagship Xperia arc announced at the CES 2011. The neo is a stylish Android phone with a unique shape that ergonomically designed to fit perfectly in the user’s hand, especially when taking pictures.

In addition to the flagship Android-based Galaxy S II, Samsung introduces the Wave 578 (S5780) Bada smartphone at the MWC 2011. The new Wave is equipped with “Near Field Communication (NFC) – a technology that allows users to enjoy many innovative services such as mobile payment at the shops and paying transportation fare, reading tags, getting mobile coupons, etc.”

After Motorola XOOM and LG G-Slate, here comes the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (model P7100) tablet that also runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet-optimized OS. While the original Galaxy Tab is a 7-incher, the new model comes with a 10.1-inch 1280×800 touchscreen display, just like the XOOM and G-Slate.

Samsung announced at the MWC 2011 its new Galaxy S II (model GT-I9100) Android smartphone, the latest flagship of the company’s Galaxy line, following the original Galaxy S. The new dual core phone has similar design as the Infuse 4G for AT&T, and measures just 8.49mm thick.

GiiNii launches the new GH-8DNP 8-inch so-called all-in-one digital photo frame. The new frame comes with a 8-inch 800×600 LCD display and 128MB internal memory to store hundreds of photos. It has cherry-stained real wood frame with glass cover and designer matting.

At the Nokia Capital Day, Nokia and Microsoft announced their strategic partnership on Windows Phone 7 platform, meaning Nokia will be one of the phone makers to release WP7 smartphones.

Nikon CoolPix L24

Nikon is going to release two new entry-level L-series models, the CoolPix L23 and the US-bound CoolPix L24, which are the successors to the CoolPix L22. The former is a 14 Megapixel camera with 3.6x optical zoom NIKKOR lens and 3-inch LCD display while the 10.1 Megapixel  L23 has 5x zoom NIKKOR lens and a 2.7-inch LCD display. They both use AA-size alkaline, lithium or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.

Nikon CoolPix L120

In addition to the 36x optical zoom CoolPix P500, Nikon also brings the CoolPix L120 with 21x high-power optical zoom. Successor to the L110, the new L120 is a 14.1 Megapixel camera with a 21x optical zoom NIKKOR lens with 25mm wide angle. It also supports macro shooting at as close as just 1cm to the subject.

Nikon CoolPix S4100

Nikon announced two new stylish compact digital cameras, the CoolPix S4100 and the CoolPix S3100, both are sleek and colorful. Both models pack 14 Megapixel image sensor and a 5x zoom NIKKOR lens. The S4100 comes with a 3-inch touchscreen display for touch control while the S3100 gets a 2.7-inch LCD screen.

Nikon announced its new CoolPix S6100 compact digital camera to replace the S5100 released last year. The new camera sports a 16 Megapixel CCD image sensor and a 7x optical zoom NIKKOR lens with 28mm wide angle. The S6100 featurs up to 3200 ISO sensitivity, lens shift vibration reduction and is equipped with EXPEED C2 Image Processing Engine.
