Following the 18x zoom SZ-10, Olympus has just announced in Europe market two more ultra zoom digital camera, including the new SZ-30MR. It is the first camera ever to offer simultaneous recording of 1080p Full HD movies and 16 Megapixel still photos, thanks to Olympus’ Multi Recording technology with Dual Engine TruePic III+ image processor.
The Olympus SZ-30MR features a 16 Megapixel backlit CMOS image sensor, a 25mm wide angle 24x optical zoom lens, and a 3-inch LCD display. The camera maker will also release the SZ-20 that packs the same 16 Megapixel sensor and a 12.5x 24mm wide angle lens. Both cameras offer 3D still photo shooting, Full HD 1080p video recording, ISO 80-3200, dual image stabilization and eight Magic Filters, including the new Sparkle and Watercolour options.
Other features include Smart Panorama mode, Handheld Starlight mode, face detection, Shadow Adjustment Technology, Beauty mode, Intelligent Auto Mode (i-Auto) and AF Tracking as well as Pet Detection mode and scene mode. The Olympus SZ-30MR and SZ-20 also offer HDMI output and support SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. To be released this month, the SZ-30MR costs about Euro 329 and the SZ-20 is price at Euro 219.
