NEC announced two new M series short throw projectors, the M300XS and M300WS ideal for education and small-to-medium-sized businesses. Replacing the NP610S and NP510WS projectors, the new models feature 0.47:1 throw ratio for easier installation on a wall above the screen or whiteboard, and a short-throw distance of 1.8 to 3.6 feet.
The M300XS and M300WS offers XGA and WXGA native resolution respectively. They feature 3000 lumens brightness, and up to 5000 hours of lamp life. These projectors includes USB Viewer that allows users to present without the use of a computer by displaying images stored as .jpgs from USB storage devices. The M300XS and M300WS offers HDMI, D-sub and USB inputs and comes with built-in 10-watt speaker.
The NEC M300XS and M300WS will be available for $999 and $1099 respectively.
