Canon introduces in the US five new portable LCD projectors – the WXGA 16:10 LV-8225 and the XGA V-7490, LV-7390, LV-7295 and LV-7290. These projectors are targeted at value-concious users including educators, traveling salespeople and small-business entrepreneurs. Based on LCD projection technology, Canon’s new projectors offer high brightness, long lamp and filter life, and the convenience of auto set-up functions for signal input, PC signal type, and vertical-keystone correction.
The top-of-the-line LV-8225 fetures 1280×800 WXGA 16:10 resolution, 2500 lumens brightness. It is designed for full-screen display of diagrams, spreadsheets and video, so often included in educational presentations. The LV-7490 is ideal for use in large environment offering XGA 1024X768 resolution and 4000 lumens brightness. The LV-7390, LV-7295, and LV-7290 feature XGA resolution and brightness levels of 3000, 2600, and 2200 lumens, respectively.
Canon‘s new portable LCD projectors have an extended projection lamp life of up to 6000 hours in quite mode and extended air filter life of up to 5,500 hours in ECO mode. They include 1.2x zoom projection lens, RJ-45 network connection and RS-232C serial connection, and provides quite operation at only 29dB.
As for pricing, Canon LV-8225, LV-7490, LV-7390, LV-7295, and LV-7290 have suggested list prices of $799, $1099, $799, $699, and $599, respectively.
