ViewSonic announced in Europe the VPD31 3D processor box that converts popular 3D video formats for display on HDMI DLP-Link 3D-ready projectors. Basically, the processor identifies 3D input signals from 3D Blu-ray players, 3D games consoles and 3D satellite transmissions and convert them to 720p, 120p output that can then be displayed via ViewSonic’s 3D ready DLP projector range.
The ViewSonic VPD31 supports 1080i@50Hz, 1080p@60Hz side-by-side; 1080p@24Hz, 720p@50Hz, 720p@60Hz frame pack and 24Hz, 720p@50Hz, 720p@60Hz top and bottom 3D video signals, and offers 30 bit color depth. It has two HDMI 1.4a inputs and one 1.3 output. The PDG-250 3D glasses are included for an enhanced 3D viewer experience.
The ViewSonic VPD31 is priced at GBP299.
