Philips announced at the LIGHTFAIR International tradeshow its EnduraLED A21 17-watt LED light bulb. Designed to replace a 75-watt incandescent bulb, the 27-watt EnduraLED A21 reduces energy consumption by 80% and lasts 25 times longer. It uses Philips’ high-power, next-generation LUXEON LEDs that has been developed to meet or exceed ENERGY STAR qualifications for an LED-based replacement for the 75-watt incandescent light bulb.
The EnduraLED A21 17-watt delivers 1100 lumens, a color temperature of 2700k, a color rendering index (CRI) of 80, and a rated life of 25,000 hours. Coming in Q4 2011, the EnduraLED A21 17-watt will be available for $40-45.
