Synology introduces its DiskStation DS2411+, a 12-bay NAS server with up to 36TB internal storage capacity designed for enterprise users. While the DS2411+ itself has 12 drive bays to offer up to 36TB capacity, it can be paired with Synology DX1211, expanding total storage capacity to 72TB. Data throughput can be ensured with an InfiniBand cable that carries 12Gb/sec SATA signal when bridging a connection.
The DiskStation DS2411+ is powered by a dual-core 1.8GHz processor with 1GB of DDR2 memory. It supports 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA I/II hard drives. With comprehensive iSCSI support, the DS2411+ can be seamlessly integrated with major virtualization solutions, including VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer and Microsoft Hyper-V. In addition, the DS2411+ fits in a business environment easily with Windows ADS and ACL support.
The DS2411+ is powered by DiskStation Manager 3.1 (DSM 3.1). It provides two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. You can use the DS2411+ as a web server, FTP server, Surveillance Station, iTunes Music server, DLNA/UPnP media server as well as photo station, audio station and print server.
