While the Beat needs an wireless transmitter, Libraton brings the Live, an AirPlay-enabled version of Beat. The wireless speaker supports AirPlay technology for streaming music from iOS devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. There is also 3.5mm audio jack for connecting other audio sources.
The Libratone Live sports one 5-inch bass, two 3-inch midrange and two 1-inch ribbon based tweeter drive units, and each of them are independently amplified to deliver a total output of 150W. It features built-in Digital Signal Processing, Digital Amplification and FullRoom acoustic technology for a 360-degree sound.
Libratone Live will be available in September, along with Lounge, for Euro 699. It comes in slate grey (standard), blood orange, vanilla beige, blueberry black and lime green colors, and is finished in luxury cashmere wool.
