Japanese company IO-Data is launching the USB-RGB3/D USB 3.0 to DVI display adapter, which is the first USB 3.0-enabled display adapter to ship in Japan. Using the new DisplayLink 3.0 video compression, the adapter supports up to 2049×1152 resolution; and with USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface, the adapter offers high-performance, full-screen HD video, 3D games, rich 2D graphics and multi-channel audio.
The IO-Data USB-RGB3/D is based on DisplayLink DL-3000 chip. Like other DisplayLink adapters, the USB 3.0 to DVI adapter allows you to add an additional screen via USB port. It is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. The IO-Data USB-RGB3/D is available in Japan for $137.
