NEC expands its P-series large screen display by introducing the new P552 model intended for 24/7 operation in venues such as quick-service restaurants, airports, public information environments, healthcare facilities and retail stores. The professional-grade, industrial-strength LCD display includes robust thermal protection, internal temperature sensors with self-diagnostics and fan-based technology to prevent overheating.
The NEC P552 features Full HD 1920x1080p resolution, up to 700cd/m2 brightness, and 4000:1 contrast ratio. It has enhanced loop-through capability with DVI, DisplayPort and composite video and comes with integrated 10wx2 speakers. The large screen display comes with RS-232C, RJ45 LAN, IR Remote and DDC/CI remote diagnostics and external control as well as expansion slot that supports Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) technology. Also included is the TileMatrix technology, which allows for video walls up to 100 displays.
The P552 will be available at a minimum advertised price of $3,199. NEC will also release the $3399 P552-AVT with built-in NTSC/ATSC analog/digital tuner for high-definition broadcast capabilities, and the P552-TMX4D (2×2 TileMatrix Video Wall Solution) at $17,999.
