Wireless broadband provider Clearwire launches its new CLEAR Stick Atlas USB 4G modem, which is the first USB stick in the US to offer instant 4G connectivity without added software. The Atlas is just as compact as a USB flash drive and weighs just 1.1oz, fitting into a pocket or purse easily. It is plug-and-play without the need of additional software like connection manage, and it is USB-powered.
The CLEAR Stick Atlas supports Clearwire’s WiMAX 4G mobile network. It supports most operating systems including Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS X, Linux and even Android and Chrome OS, and it basically works with almost any computer or device with a standard USB port. The Stick Atlas comes in charcoal grey with a matte finish, and includes an LED light showing signal strength and connection status.
The CLEAR Stick Atlas USB 4G modem is priced at $49.99, and Clearwire’s data plans start at $34.99/month.
