Virgin Mobile, Sprint’s prepaid brand, launches the new Alcatel One Touch Venture entry-level Android smartphone. The handset has a similar design as Motorola’s Droid Pro, featuring a bar-type form factor with QWERTY keyboard. It is boosted by a 600MHz processor with 512MB RAM and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
The Venture features a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel camera with LED flash and camcorder, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi and built-in speakerphone. The phone comes with a 2GB SD memory card. It offers up to 300 hours of standby time and up to 4 hours of talk time.
