Sony launches its new Handycam HDR-TD20V Double Full HD 3D camcorder with a dual lens system to capture true Full HD 3D images. Equipped with dual lens system, which includes two of each key component – double Sony Wide Angle G Lenses with 10x optical zoom, double Exmor CMOS image sensors and double BIONZ image processor, the 3D Handycam captures true 3D images with full 1920×1080 resolution on both channel, delivering “a more immersive 3D experience”. It records Full HD 60p/24p videos and up to 20 Megapixel still images, and there is a dedicated button for users to switch between 3D and 2D recording on the fly.
If 10x optical zoom is not enough, the HDR-TD20V offers 12x extended digital zoom in 3D and 17x extended zoom in 2D so you can get closer to the subject. It features Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode, Manual Control (Iris/Shutter/Exposure/White Balance), Tracking Focus that follows selected subjects, Intelligent Auto mode, and Golf Shot mode. The new 3D camcorder comes equipped with built-in GPS receiver and NAVTEQ maps that allow you not only to geotag images and videos but also to view your current location. You can also find the Highlight Playback function that identifies and compiles key scenes into a short, entertaining movie complete with music and transitions.
The Handycam HDR-TD20V sports 5.1-channel micr for Dolby Digital 5.1 channel recording and includes wind noise reduction for clear voice recording. It comes with 64GB built-in flash memory for storage and supports MS PRO Duo (Mark 2) and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. The TD20V’s 3.5-inch Xtra Fine LCD display with TruBlack is 3D-ready and allows you to view 3D content direcly without the need for 3D glasses. It also provides HDMI output and includes a 3D-ready HDMI cable for showing 3D and Full HD content on HDTV. Other features include built-in USB cable, built-in flash and ability to Direct Copy images and videos to extenal hard drive without PC.
