JVC Professional Products introduces the new SR-HD2500US, a professional Blu-ray/hard drive combo deck that allows direct recording of live signal to Blu-ray discs, and provide easy duplication and disc authoring without the need for a PC. It comes with built-in Blu-ray recorder and a 500GB hard drive that is enough for up to 24 hours of HD video. The deck has an HD/SD-SDI input for connecting to most professional video systems.
Using the simple user interface, users can transfer videos from a camcorder to the internal hard drive and assemble them into a completed project, which can then be recorded to Blu-ray discs. You can also record and author professional BDMV (with menu) or BDAV discs using BD-R or BD-RE (erasable) Blu-ray discs. Unprotected DVD and Blu-ray discs can be easily duplicated as well. Discs can be authored for auto-start or repeat playback, which is ideal for retail point-of-sale displays or kiosks; and time stamp can be generated to provide on-screen time and date information.
The JVC SR-HD2500US features built-in format converter, supporting AVC H.264, MPEG-TS, and MPEG-2 video recording, plus Dolby Digital and Linear PCM audio recording as well as AVCHD files and MOV files recorded by JVC ProHD camcorders at 19, 25, and 35 Mbps. The combo deck can also record to DVD. The unit also provides USB, i.Link ports, SDHC card slot, composite, S-video inputs as well as HD-SDI, HDMI, and component outputs for flexible monitoring, and a RS-232 port for external control.
The JVC SR-HD2500US professional combo deck is priced at $3995.
