Sony has two new mid-range Full HD camcorders, the Handycam HDR-CX580V and the Handycam HDR-PJ580V with built-in projector. Equipped with back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ image processor, these camcorders are capable of 1920×1080 Full HD 60p/24p video recording and 20.4 Megapixel still images, and features CinemaTone to deepen the color and recreate film-like color tones that combined with 24p recording for cinematic quality video.The HDR-PJ580V’s built-in projector can projector up to a 100-inch images with 640×360 resolution.
Sony’s CX580V and PJ580V both have 32GB internal flash memory for up to 9 hours of HD recording. They have 12x optical zoom lens with 26.8mm wide angle, and feature 20x Extended Zoom. You can find expanded focus for precise manual focus control, and zebra and peaking for precision focus and exposure adjustments. Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode is included for blur-free and smooth video recording. Other features include Tracking Focus, wind noise reduction, Highlight Playback, Intelligent Auto mode, Golf shot, 5.1ch Surround mic for Dolby Digital 5.1-channel recording, Clear Phase stereo speaker and Active Interface Shoe to attach intelligent accessories.
Both Handycam models come with built-in GPS receiver and NAVTEQ maps for geotagging, built-in Flash, built-in USB cable and mini HDMI output. The Handycam HDR-CX580V is priced at $799.99, and the projector-equipped Handycam HDR-PJ580V costs $899.99.
