Other than the ultraportable X230/X230T, mainstream T430/T430s/T530, and W530 mobile workstation, Lenovo also brings the more affordable ThinkPad L430 and L530 notebooks for business users. Both notebooks are powered by Intel’s 3rd gen Core (Ivy Bridge) processor up to Core i5 and dedicated NVIDIAA graphics with Optimus technology. They sport up to 8GB of RAM and up to 1TB hard drive (256GB SSD optional).
The L430 and L530 both have 180-degree metal hinges and pass MIL-SPEC tests and ThinkPad torture tests for durability. The former gets a 14-inch display while the L540 is a 15.6-inch notebook. They also comes with integrated optical drive, 4-in-1 card reader and USB connector. Other features include Dolby Advanced Audio v2 sound enhance,ent, 720p HD webcam, the new precision keyboard with optional backlight, TrackPoint, VGA output, Mini DisplayPort and optional ExpressCard 54 card slot and smart card reader.
Lenovo will release the ThinkPad L430 and L530 in June starting at $879.
