Canon introduces four new portable LCD projectors, including the Advanced “A” models LV-8227A and LV-7392A, and the mid-range “M” models LV-7297M and LV-7292M. All of them are designed to serve the needs of a wide range of professional users at an affordable price. These projectors feature an extended projection-lamp life of up to 6,000 hours and extended air filter life up to 5,500. They are equipped with a low noise cooling system to deliver quiet operation.
The LV-8227A is designed to offer highly detailed video and still images even in well-lit environments, such as classrooms. It features 1280×800 resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio and 2500 lumens brightness. The LV-7392A, for classrooms, labs, and other smaller educational environments, delivers 1024×768 XGA images with 3000 lumens brightness and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. The LV-7297M and LV-7292M also feature 1024×768 resolution and offer 2600 lumens and 2200 lumens brightness. They are designed for general use by the small office/home office market.
All four Canon projectors come with Genuine Canon wide-angle 1.2x zoom lens with manual zoom. They have wide range of connection for compatibility of a variety of devices, including a HDMI 1.3 input. There are also RS-232C serial connector for full local PC control. The A model both come with a built-in 10-watt speaker with network control, and the M models get 1-watt built-in speakers. Coming in late June, the Canon LV-8227A, LV-7392A, LV-7297M, and LV-7292M will be available for $799, $799, $699, and $599, respectively.
