Professional monitor maker EIZO unveils the FORIS FS2333 gaming monitor. The home entertainment display is not just ideal for gaming, but also for watching movies, viewing and editing photos. It features the new Smart Insight tone mapping technology with five settings for RTS (real time strategy) and FPS (first person shooter) games. Co-developed with Fnatic professional esports team, the technology automatically identifies dark areas of an image and improves visibility while preserving image details without reducing contrast, so gamers can spot important details easily and react quickly.

It features Full HD 1920×1080 resolution, 250cd/m2 brightness, 5000:1 contrast ratio and a GTG response time of 3.4ms. In addition to Smart Insight mentioned above, there are two other Smart technologies – the Smart Resolution by Eizo that analyzes an image for noise and blurring and then corrects the blur without accentuating the noise, and the Smart Detection that identifies where on the screen a video or game is being played and applies super-resolution processing to sharpen the image while leaving other areas untouched. Also, its Auto EcoView brightness sensor will detect ambient lighting and adjust the screen’s brightness to the ideal level.
