Aiptek is launching four new pico projectors for iOS devices, including the MobileCinema i50S and the MobileCinema i50D. The former is a projector case that attaches to the iPhone 4/4S like an protective case, while the i50D is a dongle type pico projector that connects to the 30-pin dock connector of iPhone, iPod and iPad. Both of them are based on DLP technology, and features 640×480 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 35 ANSI lumens brightness with RGB-LEDs.
The i50S and i50D can produce up to 60-inch images. Not just a projector, they are also a backup battery for your iOS devices. Their built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 2 hours of projection or 80% charge for the iPhone. Using the Aiptek Viwer app, users can project web content and live images from the iPhone/iPad camera.
Aiptek will release the i50S in July and the i50D in September. Both of them are priced at Euro 249.
