D-Link launches its first 80211ac wireless router, the Cloud Router 5700 DIR-865L. Like many existing 802.11ac routers, D-Link’s offering is also powered by Broadcom’s 5G WiFi (802.11ac) chip. It delivers a dual-band wireless performance of up to 1750 Mbps (1300 ac + 450 n), ideal for HD video streaming and online gaming. With support for IPv6, the DIR-865L is future-proof. It is backwards compatible with previous generation WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n standards.
Other than four Gigabit Ethernet Ports, the 802.11ac Cloud Router also has a USB SharePort for sharing content, such as music, video and photos, stored on USB storage device easily. Users can easily access to their files using D-Link’s SharePort mobile app. The router supports WPA/WPA2 and comes with an SPI firewall for network security. It also supports WiFi Protected Setup.
The D-Link Cloud Router 5700 DIR-865L is priced at $189.99.
