The VH-515 sports a 12 Megapixel back-side illuminated CMOS image sensor and TruePic VI image processing engine to deliver high-sensitivity and low noise images. It comes with a 8x optical zoom lens with 25mm wide angle and includes Super Resolution zoom technology to double the zoom range to 16x.
The STYLUS VH-410, on the other hand, gets a higher resolution 16 Megapixel CCD sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens. They both have Dual Image Stabilization, which combines sensor-shift image stabilization and high sensitivity, to deliver blur-free images.
Olympus’ VH-410 and VH-515 both feature Intelligent iAuto mode, Face Detection, In-camera Panorama, Scene modes and Magic Filter for users to express their creativity and the Beauty mode with Make-up function for applying makeup to people’s face. The latter also includes 3D Photo Shooting mode with MPO format support, HDR backlit correction, Multi Motion image stabilization for movie recording, and HDMI output.
The STYLUS VH-515 is expected to be released in Mid-September, and the VH-410 in Mid-October.
