Netgear updates its NeoTV line with three new streaming player models, including the NeoTV NTV300, NeoTV PRO NTV300S and NeoTV MAX NTV300SL. Intended to upgrade standard TVs to smart TVs, these streaming players can stream thousands of movies, TV shows and songs from online services such as Netflix, Vudu, Hulus Plys, CinemaNow, YouTube to your big screen TV in Full HD and 5.1-channl Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
These players are pretty similar to the last generation, but Netgear has equipped them with faster processor and adds support for HTML5 to provide interactive and dynamic streaming experience. All three NeoTV models come with WiFi 802.11b/g/n wireless and wired Ethernet connectivity, and work with iOS and Android remote app for easy navigation. The NeoTV PRO NTV300S also gets Intel WiDi (Wireless Display) for displaying WiDi-enabled laptop screen on the TV wirelessly, support for 300Mbps WiFi and RCA AV output for use with any TV.
The flagship NeoTV MAX NTV300SL goes further, packing also DLNA for media streaming from DLNA-compatible devices, USB storage and microSD card slot for direct media playback, and support for VUDU 3D for streaming 3D movie to your 3D-capable HDTV. It comes with a double-sided remote control with simple navigation buttons on one side and a full QWERTY keyboard on the other.
For easy and quick access to content, remote control of each model has shortcut buttons for Netflix, Hulu Plus, Cinema Now, VUDU, Pandora, and YouTube.
