Sony launches its new Extra Bass headphones series in the US market, including the headband-type MDR-XB800, MDR-XB600 and MDR-XB400 and the in-ear MDR-XB60EX. All these new headphones feature the newly developed Advanced Direct Vibe Structure to deliver high-fidelity, rich bass.
The MDR-XB800, MDR-XB600 and MDR-XB400 are equipped with 50mm, 40mm, and 30mm dome type neodymium sound drivers, featuring 3 Hz –28,000 Hz, 4 Hz –24,000 Hz and 5Hz – 22,000Hz, respectively. The XB800 and XB600, designed for long-term wearing comfort, feature soft head cushions and seamless pressure-relieving ear cushions, providing a supportive, wrap-around feel. There are also acoustic seal for high level of sound isolation. They are foldable for easy carrying.
The in-ear MDR-XB60EX sports oversized 13.5mm driver and features a unique acoustic design for a high level of noise isolation and outstanding bass response. The headphones comes with hybrid silicone rubber ear buds in four different sizes for a secure and tailored fit, and three sizes of noise isolation ear buds.
Sony’s new Extra Bass headphones all come with tangle-free, durable flat cord with serrated finish. The MDR-XB800, MDR-XB600 and MDR-XB400 are priced at $149.99, $99.99 and $59.99, respectively. The in-ear MDR-XB60EX costs $99.99.
