U.S. Cellular launches the Huawei Ascend Y, an affordable smartphone for users to stay connected with friends and family. Priced at $29.99 with a 2-year contract, you will get what you can expect. The phone has a 3.5-inch touchscreen and a 3.2 Megapixel camera with video recording. It is powered by a 800MHz processor and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
The Ascend Y supports Bluetooth and WiFi. It also includes DTS Envelo technology to create virtual surround sound for an enhanaced audio experience. A 2GB microSD card is included and the handset supports up to 32GB card. The Ascend is pre-loaded with Amazon Games, Amazon Apps, Amazon Shopping, Amazon Audible as well as Swype input.
