NEC updates its M-series line of portable projectors with three new mainstream models, the NP-M271X, NP-M311X and NP-M311W, ideal for education and small-to-medium-sized businesses. Both M271X and M311X feature XGA 1024×768 resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio and up to 10,000 hours of lamp life, while the widescreen M311W delivers 1280×800 HD images with the same 3000:1 contrast ratio and has 8000 hours of lamp life. The M311X and M311W both offer 3100 lumens brightness, and he M271X has 2700 lumens.
The M271X, M311X and M311W all include ECO Mode technology, a carbon savings meter, extended filter life, and energy-saving features such as quick startup and direct power off. They feature USB Viewer that allows you to present without a PC but just a USB flash drive. With dual VGA D-sub computer inputs, users can quickly switch between presentations and there are also HDMI, RCA and S-video inputs. RJ45 LAN port, RS-232 and optional wireless LAN are also available for external control.
NEC’s new M-series projectors all come with built-in 10W speakers. Coming in December, the M271X, M311X and M311W are priced at $802, $912, and $989, respectively.
