Nyko launches the new PlayPad and PlayPad Pro mobile gaming controller for Android smartphones and tablets. These controllers are built to support games optimized for NVIDIA Tegra mobile processor, which is used on devices such as HTC’s One X+, Asus/Google’s Nexus 7, Acer’s Iconia Tab A700. The PlayPad controllers uses Bluetooth connectivity and works with Android 3.0 or above.
The PlayPad Pro is a bigger model with the size and ergonomics of a full console controller, while the smaller PlayPad is more portable and comes with a carrying case that contains a fold-out viewing stand for your phone or tablet. Both controllers have dual analog sticks/slider, 4 action buttons, a classic-design D-pad, a home button, LED indicators and a Mode Switch for users to switch between game pad, mouse, iCade and App modes easily. Their built-in rechargeable battery offer up to 25 hours of playtime.
Nyko’s PlayPad and PlayPad Pro are both priced at $39.99. The former comes in black and white and the Pro version is available only in black.
