NEC adds to its line of projector the new VE281 and VE281X mobile multimedia projectors designed for “small-to-medium-sized businesses, education environments, corporate conference rooms and mobility applications where heavy ambient light is present but the space requires a small projector.” Based on DLP display technology, the VE281 and VE281X feature SVGA 800×600 and XGA 1024×768 native resolution respectively.
NEC’s new projectors both have 3000:1 contrast ratio and 2800 lumens brightness. Thanks to the Intelligent Driving Scheme (IDS2) technology, their lamp provides up to 6000 hours of lamp life in ECO mode. BrilliantColor technology is also included to deliver accurate color reproduction.
Other than HDMI, VGA D-sub, component, and RCA video inputs, the VE281 and VE281X also have RSR-232 and IR control port. They also sports 7W speaker and come with a remote control with on-touch source change. They VE281 and VE281X will be released in January for $369 and $449, respectively.
