Samsung’s Galaxy Note II is huge with a really large display, but its price is also ‘huge’. For those who want to enjoy such as a big screen, yet without spending too much, here is the good news. Lava’s Xolo brings to India a new over-sized Android device at a lower price point of Rs. 13999 (US$260). Called Xolo A1000, it is an Android smartphone with a large 5-inch IPS touchscreen.
The mid-range A1000 is powered by MediaTek’s MTK6577 dual-core 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. Its 5-inch IPS display has 1280×720 HD resolution and uses One Glass Solution technology to make the device slimmer. The 8 Megapixel main camera and 1.2 Megapixel front-facing camera both use BSI sensor, and there is a LED flash on the back. It is capable of 720p HD video recording. The handset supports Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi connectivity.
Its 4GB of internal storage is definitely not enough for most people and there is a microSD card slot for up to 32GB cards. The A1000 comes with a 2100mAh battery.
