As you may know, China is now the largest market of Google’s Android mobile system. Other than global brands such as Samsung, HTC, Sony, there are also a range of local Chinese brands (and some shanzhai products) making Android phones for 1.3 billion people in the country. CoolPad is one of the well-known brand in China and the company has just launched an affordable 5-inch quad-core Android smartphone.
Called MAX 7295, the handset is powered by a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor based on 28nm A7 architecture. The 5-inch IPS display has 960×540 resolution and a wide viewing angle. There are a 5 Megapixel main camera and a 0.2 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. The Android 4.1 smartphone packs 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal flash storage. Built for China Unicom, the 7295 features dual-SIM capability and supports WCDMA 3G network.
The CoolPad MAX 7295 is priced at just 1399 Chinese Yuan (US$225). If you remember, CoolPad has launched the Quattro 4G for MetroPCS last year.
