Just 10 days after announcing the V423, NEC adds to its commercial-grade V-series the bigger V463 LED-backlit LCD display that is ideal for extended use in retail stores, restaurants, indoor venues, training facilities and corporate boardrooms. The 46-inch display uses commercial-grade LCD panel and components.
The new V463 utilizes LED-backlighting technology for reduced power consumption and features 1920×1080 full HD native resolution, a maximum 500cd/m2 brightness and 4000:1 contrast ratio. It supports TileMatrix for business to build 10×10 video walls, and offers an Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) compliant expansion slot. The display provides all common input connections, including DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D in/out, D-sub VGA, as well as RS-232C, Ethernet (RJ45), IR Remote, DDC/CI external control ports. There are 10-watt built-in speakers.
NEC will also launch the V463-AVT model that comes with built-in ATSC digital tuner and the V463-PC bundled solution that includes a single board computer (OPS-PCAF-WS) for simple digital signage. The prices are $1199 for V463 display, $1399 for V463-AVT and $1949 for V463-PC.
