Along with the mid-range Xperia SP, Sony Mobile also introduces the Xperia L. Featuring the same stylish premium design, the L is an entry-level smartphone with Sony’s advanced Exmor camera technology to deliver “the perfect smartphone camera experience”. The phone has a similar design as last year’s Xperia J and E with an arc shape, and adds Illuminated alert light for notifications. Sony’s signature circular aluminum power button can also be found on the handset.
The Xperia L runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on a Qualcomm MS8230 dual-core 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It sports a 8 Megapixel camera with Sony’s Exmor RS for mobile sensor technology to deliver clear, colorful images. The camera supports fast capture and HD 720p video and features HDR (High Dynamic Range) to capture photos and videos clearly even at night or against a strong backlight. There is also a VGA front-facing camera for video chat and self-portrait. The phone’s 4.3-inch touchscreen has 854×480 resolution.
You can expect Bluetooth 3.0, AGPS/GPS, NFC, DLNA connectivity and support for HSPA+ and quad-band GSM/EDGE mobile networks. The Android handset comes with Sony’s unique user interface and Walkman, xLOUD, Clear Bass/Stereo/Phase audio technologies. It has 8GB of internal memory and supports microSD up to 32GB. The Battery STAMINA Mode is provided for optimum battery life.
The Xperia L will be avaialble in white, red and black colors.
