Verizon Wireless has released another 4G LTE USB modem, the UML295 made by Pantech. With integrated fold–away USB connector that swivels 180-degree, the plug-and-play modem is easy to connect that it can be plugged to a computer from almost any angle. It supports Verizon’s 4G LTE (band 13) and CDMA EVDO 3G mobile networks and is global-ready with quad-core GSM/EDGE and quad-core HSDPA capabilities.
A special feature of this modem is its 2–way Text Messaging capability that allows users to send and receive text messages right on your computer. It has built-in internal antenna and two external antenna connectors for enhancing signal reception. GPS support is also included.
The Pantech UML295 uses USB 2.0 interface and works with Windows and Mac computers. It is available for $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
