Just like last year’s S III Mini, Samsung has announced the new Galaxy S4 Mini, a compact version of its latest flagship Galaxy S4. With a similar look and feel as the S4, the Mini version packs mid-range specs and is more compact and portable. Depending on market, the phone will be available in several versions, including 4G LTE model, 3G HSPA+ model and 3G Dual SIM model.
The S4 Mini runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. It gets a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and its 8 Megapixel camera has flash and supports HDR, Full HD video recording, Panorama, Sound&Shot that capture sound as photo is taken, Continous shot, Best Photo and Night Shot. There is also a 1.9 Megapixel front-facing camera. The phone comes with 8GB internal memory and supports microSD up to 64GB.
Samsung’s S4 Mini supports Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi 802.11b/g/n. Like the S4, it also has built-in IR for remote control and the LTE version will support NFC as well. Pre-loaded apps including ChatON, Samsung Hub, S Voice, S Translator, S Health. White Frost and Black Mist colors are available.
