Mitsubishi unveiled its new Prototype S, which is powered by a 2.0L turbo four engine that can produce “240 PS (236 hp) and 343 Nm (253 lb-ft) of torque through a dual-clutch setup to a full-time AWD system with an active center differential.”

Peugeot is going to produce its attractive, pretty 308 RC-Z. The Peugeot 308 RC-Z is equipped with the 1.6L four-cylinder engine that can produce 218-horsepower.

The design hides easter eggs for alert viewers, too. The roof and backlight are formed from polycarbonate and use a double bubble shape to increase headroom for occupants, while at the same time evoking racers by Zagato. The upkick in the doors where they meet the rear quarter windows also offers visual amusement, too.

This is a solar car developed by a team at the National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences. The solar will be able to run at 70kph. “The battery can be charged with just a few hours sunlight and can power the car for three hours.”

Mazda released a few photos of the Furai Concept. The Mazda Furai has a three-rotor Mazda 20B rotary engine, which can produces around 450 horsepower. The engines runs on E100 ethanol and the word “Furai” can be translated as “sound of wind”.

The flowing shape of the Furai was co-designed by Mazda and Swift Engineering at Mazda’s design studio in Southern California.

General Motors announced the new 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The ZR1 is powered by a 6.2L supercharged LS9 engine that can produce at least 620HP.

All the tungsten instruments around 0-60′s ZR1 really play up the surface detailing of the C6 Corvette, and the handsome metallic gray hue made this particular ZR1 a stealth bomber.

edmunds Inside Line has a comparison test on the Ford Mustang Shelby GT and Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
The STI’s 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-4 is rated at 305 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. The Shelby’s 4.6-liter V8 is stronger than that, but not by much. It generates 319 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque, slightly more than a standard Mustang thanks to a more efficient exhaust system, cold air intake and a revised engine calibration (which mandates premium fuel).

Land Rover introduces the new 2008 Range Rover Westminster which comes with a 400-horsepower supercharged V8 engine. It is priced at $105,600.
Real wood is prevalent, as Land Rover incorporates a 14-piece lined oak extended wood veneer and a lined oak anthracite gear shift knob. The wood trim is further accentuated by special edition “java black” leather seats with tan inserts and tipping.
